The Los Angeles County Fire Department has a very engaged Homeland Security Section that works with numerous local, state, and federal agencies and governments to coordinate information, training and security.

Southern California is the perfect place to live. But it is also a perfect target for terrorism.

Los Angeles is served by 9,000 firefighters in 31 fire and emergency service agencies. Those men and women are working together to provide a coordinated response in the event of a large scale disaster.

Their goal? To train together so that they can serve the people of Los Angeles, as one.
