The SCV Education Foundation honored some of the best teachers in the Santa Clarita Valley Thursday night at the College of the Canyons Performing Arts Center.

Teachers from the Castaic Union School District, Newhall School District, Saugus Union School District, Sulphur Springs School District and the William S. Hart Union School District were honored during the event for their innovative work in engaging students to find success.

In addition to the teachers being honored, five students received $10,000 in scholarships from the foundation.

The SCV Education Foundation works to support public education and honor teachers for their leadership and teaching excellence.
