Prom: a time honored tradition, where high schoolers across the country celebrate old friendships, new beginnings, or perhaps just their outfits.

For Saugus Gay Straight Alliance students, prom season also means another tradition: an all high school, LGBTQ focused prom in Lancaster.

While attendance to this prom has now more than doubled for this year, this also means that the costs for all to attend has also gone up.

Paying for the students to attend has been the biggest roadblock and students are asking for the community’s generosity to help them attend this prom in what they call a “safe” environment.
