HandsOn Santa Clarita hosted the fifth annual Santa Clarita Day of Service on Saturday, which is a day dedicated to volunteerism and community service in remembrance of 9/11.
It was estimated on Saturday that about 250 people volunteered their Saturday mornings to lend a helping hand in various service projects across Santa Clarita.
The event kicked off at 7:00 a.m. at Hart Park, where one of the service projects took place.
The Day of Service is part of a national Day of Service, dedicated to remembering the lives lost and affected by the September 11, 2001 attacks.(c) 2017 SCVTV
