DENIM DAY – Denim Day is this Friday! Please bring donations to room 617 by Friday morning. Don’t forget to wear your pink wristband, pink shirt and jeans to school! We will be taking a picture of all the participants right after brunch on Friday. Your pink wristband will be your tardy excuse to RELAX during A period. Last year we raised $1,200 for this cause! We hope to beat that total this year! Thanks!

COSTUME CONTEST – ASB is holding a Halloween Costume contest on October 31st. To enter, come to room 1002 at Brunch on that day if you are wearing your costume to sign up to be in the contest. We have limited spots available, so be sure to sign up at the beginning of brunch. Contest winners get a prize. Let’s see those awesome costumes!

POSTER CONTEST – Attention all students. The top 40 Posters of the 8th Grade Poster Contest are now on display at our library. The numbers on the posters are for identification only, and are NOT ranked by quality in any way. Please stop by the SV Library to pick up a ballot and vote for the “Student Choice” winner. One vote per student, and pick the one that makes YOU want to read the book. Student voting will continue until October 30th.

TRAILBLAZER STUDENTS OF THE WEEK – David Boyd, Crystal Ramirez, and Jackson Torres.  David is kind and supportive of peers who need a friend. He is helpful to his teachers and participates in school activities.  Crystal is an amazing person and student.  She is always smiling and treats everyone with kindness. Jackson is respectful to his peers and teachers.  He is an excellent student who always gives more than 100 percent.  We feel fortunate to have all of them on our team.

CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES – Attention 7th Graders.  Would you like to see up close some Creepy Creatures like snakes and tarantulas?  Then come to the next library Brown Bag Presentation on Monday, October 30th.  Live animals from the Placerita Nature Center will be creeping around our library during lunch time.  You may bring and eat your lunch in the library, or enjoy the snacks that we will provide for free.  See your 7th grade science teacher for a free ticket.  Ticket holders will be admitted first, then all students will be allowed in as space permits. Today in Clubs and Activities the Fandom club will be meeting in room 1205.

FUN FRIDAY – Come to the quad Friday at lunch for Fun Friday! We will have hula hoops, music, and other fun games!
