The Salvation Army Santa Clarita Valley Corps is hosting their 1st annual Red Kettle Kickoff at their offices in Newhall.

Hosted by actress, activist & author Tippi Hendren and envoys Jerry and Laura Bloom, the kickoff will feature an evening of music, community, and family activities to kick off the holiday season. The famous Red Kettle Bug will make an appearance as well as the Salvation Army Band.

The event is on Thursday, November 16 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Santa Clarita Valley Corps Center at 22935 Lyons Avenue.
