WINTER DANCE – Are you ready, Sierra Vista? Our winter dance, the “Snow Ball,” will be taking place on Friday, December 8th, from 5- 7:30 pm in the MPR. Yes, that’s right, just like in Stranger Things…it’s time for the most-anticipated dance of the year! Tickets go on sale Monday, and will cost $15 on Monday and Tuesday, then prices go up to $18 on Wednesday and Thursday, and then up to $20 on Friday. Tickets include dinner from Stonefire, DJ, games, hot chocolate bar, and more! This dance ALWAYS sells out, so don’t wait to purchase your ticket. If you obtained $300 or more in the Let’s Do This fundraiser, you MUST notify Mrs. Terranova who you are bringing to the dance with your free ticket by this Friday in room 1002. Dress guidelines for the dance have been posted around campus, so please view them BEFORE you purchase any dance attire. Please note that this is a junior high winter dance–not a Winter Formal or a Prom. Students cannot purchase a ticket if they are on the LOP list, and they must stay for the entire dance for safety reasons. Please see Mrs. Terranova in room 1002 if you have any questions.

CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES – Today in clubs and activities, the Fandom club meets in room 1205, the Brown Bag presentation is in the library, and DFY in SCV is in the MPR.

BROWN BAG-  Attention students in World History Classes.  The library’s next Brown Bag Presentation will teach you more about Japanese Culture.  Learn how to do origami from the experts.  We will supply the paper and samples for you to make.  Don’t miss out on this fun and educational event.  It will be on Thursday, December 7th during lunch in the library.  See your history teacher for a free ticket.  Non ticket holders will be allowed in as space permits.

HOLIDAY SPIRIT WEEK – Hey plainsman next week is Holiday Spirit Week! Monday is Pajama day, Tuesday is Holiday Hats, Wednesday is Winter Wonderland Day (wear blue and white), and Thursday is Holiday Sweater day! ASB will come and give candy to students showing school spirit during D and E periods. Hope to see you showing your holiday spirit!
POSTERS – Hey, SV students.  Have you noticed some of the 8th grade posters from our contest are missing from our library?  Well they’re not missing.  They are on display at the Canyon Country Public Library Teen Room.  Now our local community can see some of the great things that we do at Sierra Vista.  Stop by to see this display at the public library until Thursday, December 14th.
