CLUBS & ACTIVITIES – Today in clubs and activities we have the video game club in room 101 and p.e club in the fitness center. Film Club is now on Mondays at lunch in room 630. 8TH GRADE ASB – Attention 7th grade students that applied for ASB for their 8th grade elective: the list of accepted applicants will be posted in the ASB bulletin cabinet that is on the back of the office at the end of the day on Friday, April 13th. The list will also be posted on Sierra Vista Life at the end of the day as well. Please see Mrs. Terranova in room 1002 if you have any questions. NASA BROWN BAG PRESENTATION – Attention 8th Graders. Come to our SV Library’s next Brown Bag Presentation to hang out with Julie Huffman, our local NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador and do some fun, and super interesting hands-on space science! You’ll see a short video of NASA space launches, then make your own rocket! Will yours fly the farthest? Ask your 8th grade science teacher for a free ticket to get free snacks and materials to make a rocket. Don’t miss seeing this “space launch” in the SV Library at lunch on Thursday, April 12th. CANYON ASB – Attention 8th graders that are interested in applying for ASB at Canyon High School: there will be an informative meeting held in the MPR on Tuesday, April 17th, from 1:10-2:10pm. The Canyon ASB adviser and students will be talking about how to apply for ASB as your 9th grade elective. CHS DANCE TEAM – CHS Dance Team Tryouts: Hey eighth graders! Do you love to dance? Is dancing one of your favorite things to do? Would you like to join Canyon’s Dance Team next year? Auditions and mandatory parent meeting begin Monday, April 23rd.

04/25/18 – Dance Team Auditions Clinic in CHS Aux Gym 3:30pm-5:30pm
04/26 /18 – Dance Tryouts in Dance Room AA1 3:30-5:30pm
04/30/18 – Dancers will be announced at 3:00pm. Results will be posted outside the Dance Room AA1 and send to office of each participating school.

PENNY WARS – Hey Sierra Vista, our first turn in day for Penny Wars is TODAY during brunch in the quad. Don’t forget that: pennies are NEGATIVE points and silver change and bills/checks/online donations are POSITIVE points. Checks should be made to the “Leukemia and Lymphoma Society” with the team name written on the check. The team that earns the most positive points per student gets a pizza party!!!
