The city of Santa Clarita and the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station held an appreciation event for SCV Sheriff’s Deputies and staff in recognition of the department’s success in reducing the amount of Part I Crimes in Santa Clarita by more than 22 percent year-over-year.

The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Department reduced Part I Crimes in Santa Clarita by 22.6 percent from April 2017 to April 2018, including a drop in the number of larceny-thefts (31.6 percent) and grand theft autos (23.4 percent).

SCV Sheriff’s Deputies and staff were treated to lunch, games, and raffle prizes.
