Schools | WRHS Students, Teachers Lay Out 1,000 Poppies in Remembrance of WWI, Veterans
|
In honor of the 100th anniversary of World War I, West Ranch High School students and teachers “planted” 1,000 red poppies to honor the 1,000 Californians who were killed during WWI, along with the sacrifices made by veterans. The red poppy is used to commemorate the end of WWI; on November 11, it will have been 100 years since the end of the WWI. Sophomore students in social studies made the poppies under the instruction of their teachers. (c) 2018 SCVTV
