A celebration of the life of Santa Clarita City Founder Carl Boyer III was held on Saturday, June 22, 2019, at Valencia United Methodist Church. The former teacher, genealogist, historian, author, philanthropist and City of Santa Clarita founding father died Wednesday, May 29, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was 81.
