ENERGIZE Behavior: This week, the teachers and staff here at Sierra Vista are on the lookout for any Plainsmen that are demonstrating the behavior expectation of ENERGIZE. When a teacher or other staff member catches you doing this, he or she may award you with a bit of flair to showcase on your back pack or binder. Teachers or other staff may also award you with a Together We Succeed Ticket. Students who earn these tickets can turn them into the ASB office and will be entered in a raffle for a chance to win a prize.

The Los Angeles County Science Fair: We are excited to announce that we will be competing in the Los Angeles County Science Fair! This is a great event for any students with big ideas in science, math, or engineering. It is a great opportunity to showcase your talents and skills. This event is sponsored by SpaceX, JPL, and Los Angeles County Natural History Museum. This is our second year participating and the only school in the Hart District to participate. Come to room 104 for more information on this event if you would like to participate!

DFY Leader Position Info: Attention all DFY in SCV members! If you are interested in applying for a leader position, please see Mrs. Henry in room 305 today during lunch even if you’ve already applied.

Let’s Do This Homeroom Info: Hey Sierra Vista! The LAST “Let’s Do This” homeroom meets WEDNESDAY during RELAX! After brunch, go to your “Let’s Do This” homeroom teacher’s room to hear which homerooms and teams are in the lead!  Please be sure to bring in cash or check donations and pledge sheets to your “Let’s Do This” Homeroom. Keep earning those donations so you can earn more prizes!

Forming A Club Info: Are you interested in forming a club? Go the Sierra Vista website to take a short survey. Based on these results ASB will make your club come true and form it to your interests.

ASB Wants Your Input: Hey Sierra Vista students! ASB wants your input on what kind of activities, games, and music you would like to hear and participate in.  Please take the time to fill out the survey so your voice can be heard!

Sierra Vista Instagram Page: In case you didn’t know, Sierra Vista’s Instagram page has reminders about school events to help keep you in the loop with what’s going on at school! It also features pictures of our students participating in school events, so tag yourself if you’re in one of our pictures! If you aren’t following us yet, you should, so you don’t miss out on school events!

The SUCCEED Center: Counselors will be available in the new SUCCEED Center during lunch time on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. It’s located next to the MPR across from the library. Hope to see you there!

We will still have ASB event announcements on the SV Life morning show, but now the calendar is another place for you to quickly check when ASB events are happening at your school!
