Plainsmen Progress Day: Hey Plainsmen! This upcoming Tuesday is Plainsmen Progress Day! Students can stay after school from 1:06–2:10 to get some extra help from their teachers and make up missing assignments! Don’t miss out on this opportunity if you know that you can boost your grades a bit or benefit from some extra help!

Spirit Week: Hello Plainsmen January 27-31, we are having spirit week. On Monday, we have Pajama Day, Tuesday is Pastel Day, Wednesday will be Black out day so wear black, Thursday is Tie Dye themed, and Friday we are having Jersey day in the spirit of the Superbowl. Wearing anything having to do with each spirit day will help your team get spirit points and you will receive candy during your C and D period classes. The team with the most students wearing black on Wednesday earn spirit points!

Fun Friday: Hey Plainsmen! Come to the outdoor stage on the 24th for Fun Friday at lunch. Come play a game where you have to get as many gummy worms as you can in a cup within a 15 second time period. You get to keep your cup of gummy worms!

Movie in Pajamas: ASB would like to invite you to room 621 on Monday January 27th to come watch a movie in your pajamas. Hope to see you there!

Team Teacher Game: On Wednesday, January 29th, ASB is doing a game with one of your favorite team teachers. Come to the outdoor stage at lunch to cheer on your team to help your team earn spirit points. Students, if you were chosen to participate by your teacher, please don’t forget to come the outdoor stage at the beginning of lunch!

Universal Studios Grad Bash: 8th graders, don’t forget that this year’s end of the year field trip will be to Universal Studios Grad Bash on Friday, May 22nd! Transportation and admission only costs $85, and this special night includes DJs, exclusive park access for grad night students ONLY, and more. You can still purchase your ticket at the ASB window through April 3rd, but you won’t want to wait since the line to purchase gets REALLY long during the last week of ticket sales. Please see Mrs. Terranova in room 621 if you have any questions.

Honor Society: All SV students interested in applying for Honor Society this semester can stop by room 106 any day this week at LUNCH to get help filling out the application. Also, please wait until the official list has been posted on Feb 10th BEFORE you pay your dues or turn in your community service hours.

Make a Wish: ASB wants to make your wishes come true! Go to the Sierra Vista website to submit your Make a Wish form. ASB will choose 5 students to grant their wishes.

Whimbys: Whimbys is a thrift store in the shopping center located next to TJ Maxx. Next time you’re cleaning out your closet, think of Whimbys. They will take any gently used items or clothing donations and if you say “Credit to Sierra Vista school” they will give a percentage of money back to Sierra Vista for your donation.
