ASB Next Year for Current 7th Graders Meeting: Attention 7th graders that are interested in being in ASB for their 8th grade elective next year. Please note that there is an important informational meeting on the application process for ASB in the MPR on Friday, March 13th, AT THE BEGINNING of lunch! Applications will be available for pick up during this time, as well as a brief presentation of what being a ASB student entails. Please see Mrs. Terranova in room 621 ahead of time if you can NOT make this meeting.

Fun Friday: Come to the quad for fun Friday on March 13th to participate in a hula hoop competition! The people that hula hoop the longest win candy!

Attention 8th graders. Friday, April 3 is the LAST DAY to purchase your ticket for the Universal Studios Grad Bash that’s on May 22 for $85. Please note that students who wait until the last day to purchase will most likely encounter a very long line at the ASB window when they’re purchasing their ticket, which isn’t enjoyable to wait in. Please do not wait any longer to purchase your ticket if you haven’t done so already since we want all of our 8th graders to be a part of this fun night. Strides for Wellness Challenge: Thank you to all who participated in the Strides for Wellness Challenge and/or the Mardi Gras 5K recently! Whether you finished the challenge or just participated in some of it, you took a big step toward your health and well-being. Please check your school email for a follow-up, post-challenge survey. All you have to do is click on the link in the e-mail and answer a few questions to help us plan future events. Your feedback is very important to us, so thank you in advance for filling it out. National Women’s History Month: The month of March is National Women’s History Month! Did you know in 1756, during America’s Colonial period, Lydia Chapin Taft became the first woman to legally vote with the consent of the electoral college? She was only allowed because her husband was a local political figure! Crazy!
