Whether you’re an experienced golfer, golf enthusiast, or are looking to enjoy a day out on the course while supporting a local nonprofit, Family Promise of Santa Clarita Valley’s fourth annual “A Round to Remember Golf Tournament” will surely be a hole in one! Family Promise’s Executive Director Dr. Roché Vermaak shares everything you need to know to prepare to tee off at this year’s tournament on this segment from SCVTV’s Community Corner.

While it’s sure to be a day of great sport for players and spectators alike, the Golf Tournament is always raising important funds for Family Promise of SCV’s mission: to serve families at-risk of or currently experiencing homelessness in the Santa Clarita Valley area.

The nonprofit “brings shelter, meals, and support services to pregnant women and families who are experiencing or soon will be facing homelessness…[it] is a cost-efficient and effective community response to the families in our community who are struggling to find or keep housing”, according to their website.

The “Round to Remember Golf Tournament” will be on October 9 at 12 p.m. at the Sand Canyon Country Club.
