SCVTV's Community Corner | Bridge to Home Representatives Share Insight into Impact, ‘Soup for the Soul’ Gala
|
Bridge to Home’s Executive Director Chris Najarro and “Soup for the Soul” event chair Karen Maleck-Whiteley discuss how this nonprofit continues to provide a wealth of resources to Santa Clarita’s unhoused population; they also share what’s ahead for their “Soup for the Soul” fundraiser, which will support Bridge to Home’s programs and mission. As of February 2024, Bridge to Home’s staff, volunteers, and supporters are working towards finishing construction on the nonprofit’s permanent shelter, located on Drayton Street in Newhall. Chris Najarro shares updates on how the construction process has been going, as well as dives into some of the programs they offer to those experiencing homelessness. The Soup for the Soul Gala will be on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at the Hyatt Regency Valencia. The event, held annually, helps raise critical funds to support Bridge to Home’s numerous programs and initiatives that aim to help unhoused individuals and their families transition out of homelessness. Tickets are still available for the event; find them and more information about Bridge to Home and Soup for the Soul at BToHome.org.
