Since 1964, the Man & Woman of the Year Award has been celebrating dedicated volunteers and Santa Clarita nonprofits. And the coveted, meaningful award continues to this day. Gloria Mercado-Fortine, president of MWOTY and 2018 Woman of the Year, explains the nominating process, which is open to all local nonprofit organizations. Josh Rivas, 2025 Man of the Year recipient, was recognized for his tireless work within the community, more specifically with Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley. He shares what drives him to continue making a positive impact in the lives of so many. For more information, visit https://www.scvmanwomanoftheyear.org/. SCVTV’s Community airs Mondays at 4 p.m. on Spectrum Channel 20, AT&T U-Verse Channel 99, Apple TV, Roku, SCVTV.com, and on Facebook. Want to see more from SCVTV’s Community Corner?
