Newhallywood Silent Film Festival Celebrating Early Hollywood Icons

Hear how the Newhallywood Silent Film Festival organizers will once again bring the artistic and entertaining silent film era to the Santa Clarita Valley, with a full weekend lineup of films, tours, and talks; festival organizers, E.J. Stephens and Phil Lantis, share more.

The 2024 Newhallywood Silent Film Festival will be celebrating the works of Douglas Fairbanks SR. and Thomas Ince, bringing a full lineup of their iconic films
back to screen.

The festival boasts a full weekend of film screenings–which are all free of charge–as well as special tour of iconic Hollywood sites, including studio locations from the silent era, focusing on sites where Fairbanks and Ince made their films. The tour, called “BusTour” Keaton (a nod to another famous silent film era actor), is $60 per ticket.

Film screenings will take place across three different venues within the Newhall area: the Newhall Family Theatre for the Performing Arts, The MAIN, and the Newhall Community Center. The festival kicks off on Friday, February 16, 2024 and goes through Sunday, February 18, 2024.
