S.O.A.R. (Students Off and Running) are hosting their annual Mardi Gras Madness 5k and 10k, where runners of all levels will take to the concrete. Two of the team captains, Deshaun Morgan and Sophia Najera, describe why anyone can participate, no matter their fitness level.

While this year’s race is all sold out, those interested in being part of the event can still show their support of the race participants or they can volunteer come race weekend.

Race weekend is Saturday and Sunday, February 24 and 25, 2024, and kicks-off at the Valencia Town Center.

S.O.A.R. trains SCV youth to run a 380 mile marathon while also instilling in them valuable goal setting skills.
