City of Santa Clarita’s Communications Specialist Jared Anderson fills us in on the summertime happenings in Santa Clarita and all the great activities you can join in on this season.

Not only are there plenty of events that are perfect for the entire family, there are also lots of recreational activities. Hikers can hit up the many incredible trails around Santa Clarita–Jared’s favorite is the Placerita Waterfall Trail–and enjoy the great outdoors right here at home.

Plus, boaters and swimmers alike can head out to Castaic Lake and enjoy a lakeside getaway in town. Even pitch a tent and spend the night!

Additionally, the Beach Bus is a great option to head over to the coast without having to do any of the driving.

Interested in some evening outings this Summer? Santa Clarita has some great options! Between the classic Concerts in the Park series, to Flick ‘n Float at the Santa Clarita Aquatics Center, and Glow Nights over at The Cube, there’s something for everyone!
