City of Santa Clarita Project Technician Lindsay Schmandt discusses the upcoming annual River Rally and Environmental Expo, sharing what volunteers and attendees can expect from this fun and impactful event.

The 29th River Rally and Environmental Expo is on Saturday, September 21 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., with this year’s cleanup focused on the portion of the Santa Clara riverbed that is north of Creekside Road.

Volunteers and attendees will meet at William S. Hart Pony Baseball and Softball Complex.

The annual River Rally ensures the ongoing vitality of this incredible ecological site. Volunteers often gather hundreds of pounds of trash, including large items, that would otherwise pollute the riverbed.
