Golden Valley High School Principal Sal Frias joins Dave Caldwell to discuss the district’s attendance awareness initiative, “Be Present”, and how this program has improved absenteeism at Golden Valley and across the district.

The Attendance Awareness campaign, “Be Present”, has helped improve the attendance rates at Golden Valley High School, which took a dip after the pandemic. According to the William S. Hart High School District website, chronic absenteeism has decreased over the past year, as well.

Attendance is crucial to the educational development of a student, making it important for families to prioritize good attendance.
