SCVTV's Community Corner | Participate in Library’s ‘Food for Fines’ Program Before Sept. 30 Deadline
|
Santa Clarita Public Library Senior Librarian Kendra Fitzpatrick discusses the Library’s popular “Food for Fines” program and how you can participate in it. The Food for Fines program allows you to wipe away up to $20 worth of library fines with your donation of non-perishable foods and toiletries. Each library branch supports a different nonprofit: donations given at the Old Town Newhall Library go to The Salvation Army in Newhall, while contributions at the Valencia Branch assist the Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry. Also, donations made at the Canyon Country Jo Anne Darcy Branch go to Santa Clarita Grocery. This heartfelt initiative is the perfect way to do good for the community and do good for your Library card. Food for Fines ends on September 30, 2024, so make your plans to bring your donations to one of the three Santa Clarita Public Library branches. Head to SantaClaritaLibrary.com for more information.
