Gabriela works for the City of Santa Clarita Government’s Communications department, touching numerous large scale projects that help residents stay connected with their city government. Then, Boys & Girls Club of SCV CEO Matt Nelson and Board President Jenny Ketchepaw share what’s in store for the 2024 Festival of Trees, a popular, annual holiday fundraiser from the Boys & Girls Club of SCV, which helps raise funds in support of the Club’s numerous programs. Following this, Dr. Marius Bahnean, the Associate Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities at The Master’s University, joins us to discuss TMU’s “Come Christmas Sing!” concerts, a festive event that brings the beauty of Christmas music to Santa Clarita. After, Santa Clarita Public Library Librarian Sydney Adam and Library Assistant Michelle Field give exciting insight into the community favorite “Family Literacy Festival”, which is featuring the sweet theme “Sugar & Spice Reading is Nice!” Then, Include Everyone Project SCV’s Executive Director and Co-Founder Kristen DeBenedetto and Co-Founder Rodney Dong share the mission behind their impactful organization. They also discuss how the community can support them at their upcoming gala and showcase. Finally, Samuel Dixon Family Health Center’s CEO Phillip Solomon and Board Chair Gloria Mercado-Fortine join us to discuss how they ensure everyone in Santa Clarita has access to quality healthcare. Plus, they discuss their upcoming Thanksgiving Meal Giveaway.
