College of the Canyons Interim Superintendent/President Mr. David Andrus shares more about what’s ahead for COC, including exciting updates regarding a new Bachelor’s degree and other new programs. In this interview, Andrus touches on the new Bachelor’s Degree available at COC: the Bachelor of Science in Building Performance, prepping students to give input on creating sustainable buildings. Andrus also touches on the variety of opportunities at COC, especially those in the medical field. These opportunities are allowing COC students and potential students a breadth of options for certifications in the ever-evolving healthcare field. In addition, Andrus speaks on the efforts to build an Advanced Technology Center on the Valencia campus. Prior to his appointment as Interim Superintendent and President, Andrus served as chair of the college’s political science department and as president of the COC Academic Senate.
