More from This Week’s Guest Lineup

Kicking off this week’s episode, host Carrie Lujan introduces us to guest host Jerrid McKenna, who’s filling in for Dave Caldwell. Jerrid is the Director of Neighborhood Services for the city of Santa Clarita and gives us a small glimpse into what his responsibilities are.

Then, Bridge to Home’s Director of Development Mandy O’Connor, and Bridge to Home Board Member Mandy Nave talk about the upcoming 2025 Soup for the Soul Gala — a 1920’s-themed event, “Roaring into a New Era,” — which commemorates the opening of its new shelter and ushers in the start of a new chapter.

After, Patti Miller, Adapted Physical Education Specialist for the William S. Hart Union High School District and Tara Brown, Assistant Superintendent of Student Services for WSHUHSD, join us to highlight the 13th Annual Hart School District Special Education Track and Field Meet, otherwise known as the Hart Games. They’ll give us a preview of what’s in store for this year’s athletes.

Following this, Cali Nocella the city of Santa Clarita’s Art’s and Events Coordinator chats with us about this year’s Youth Arts Showcase themed “Friendship: The Heartbeat of Global Peace.”

Next, Missy Carter and Todd Stelnick, co-chairs and emcees for the Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital Foundation Home Tour League Fashion Show tell us all about this year’s event and how the funds raised will go towards the growing need for heart health programs at the hospital’s Roberta G. Veloz Cardiovascular Services.

Then, we chat with Sophia Najera and Ben Kayne, captains for Students Off and Running (S.O.A.R.), who preview this year’s Mardi Gras Madness 5K and 10K and why this program will always have a special place in their hearts.

Finally, on a brand new episode of “This Week in Santa Clarita,” we find out this year’s One Story, One City book selection!
