In this episode of SCVTV’s Community Corner, the Boys & Girls Club of SCV returns with a preview of its annual “vine-derful” wine-tasting event benefiting a very worthy cause, Halfway to Home introduces us to a lovable pup ready for his forever home, the City of Santa Clarita shares the many ways it engages with the Spanish-speaking community, the California Institute of the Arts offers a special sneak peek at its legendary graduation ceremonies and MAYhem festival, and an all-new illuminating episode of This Week in Santa Clarita reveals the brand-new art installation bringing a “River of Lights” to Central Park.

Starting off this week’s episode, co-hosts Carrie Lujan and Dave Caldwell discuss the exciting lineup ahead. We also get a sneak preview of The Master’s University’s annual Career Fair, open to the community on March 26 from 10:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. Plus, we hear about this year’s Trail Tails, a pet adoption event in collaboration with the Santa Clarita Library and Castaic Animal Care Center, happening on March 25. And last but not least — it’s Carrie’s birthday!

The hosts then chat with Matt Nelson, Chief Executive Officer for the Boys & Girls Club of SCV, and Carl Kanowsky, Chair of the organization’s Sip and Support Wine Tasting event, a local favorite that brings a variety of vintages and culinary treats to benefit a meaningful cause.

We meet Ravi Rajan, President of CalArts, who shares his academic and professional journey and gives us a sneak preview of CalArts’ MAYhem Festival, which coincides with the college’s iconic graduation celebrations.

Plus, volunteers Sophia Veldhoven and Sofia Langer from Halfway to Home join us to introduce Jim, a handsome, friendly, and lovable Lab-Shepherd mix who is ready for his forever family.

Finally, hear all about the hundreds of LED lights that will soon illuminate Central Park on an all new episode of, “This Week in Santa Clarita.”
