SCVTV's Community Corner | Explore Ways to “Level Up at the Library” with Santa Clarita’s Summer Reading Program
|
In this segment of SCVTV’s Community Corner, we chat with Jennifer Barnekow and Ellie Kalman from the Santa Clarita Public Library about the city of Santa Clarita’s summer reading program. This year’s theme is, “Level Up at the Library,” and is open to kids and adults. The seven-week program will run from June 9-July 26. Those who wish to participate will enjoy a summer jam-packed with reading activities, arts, crafts, challenges and a chance to win prizes. To register for the challenges, or more information on the City’s Beanstack app where you can log your reading hours, head on over to www.santaclaritareads.com. The Santa Clarita Library will also partner once again with School Day Café to serve free, healthy lunches for those 18 years and younger. Lunch will be served Monday–Friday, 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., from June 9 – July 25, at Jo Anne Darcy Library in Canyon Country and the Old Town Newhall branch. Learn more about SCVTV’s Community Corner.
