On September 8, 2025, Saugus High School marked its 50th Anniversary with a special celebration held in the school’s auditorium. The milestone event brought together past and present administrators, alumni, students, faculty, and community leaders to honor the school’s rich history and lasting impact.

Dignitaries in attendance included Santa Clarita Mayor Bill Miranda, Councilmembers Patsy Ayala and Marsha McLean, as well as representatives from Congressman George Whitesides, Senator Suzette Valladares, and Assemblymember Pilar Schiavo. The event was coordinated by Assistant Principal Diane Hamburger.

One highlight of the evening came from Tina Landrum, Chairperson of the Saugus High School Class of 1978 Reunion Committee, who spoke to the crowd and gave heartfelt shout-outs to fellow alumni in attendance. Following her remarks, a current student took the stage to share their perspective on what it means to be part of the Saugus legacy today, bridging the school’s past with its present.

The celebration also featured spirited performances from the Saugus High School Choir, cheerleaders, and the Marching Centurions, while the JROTC presented the colors in a display of honor and tradition.
