In this Community Corner mini episode, student guest hosts Luke Landress from Valencia High School and Hrishab Krishna from Castaic High School take a look back at Season 6 of Community Corner to revisit segments from 2025. We have a chat with the new Captain of the SCV Sheriff’s Station, hear how the City of Santa Clarita is reaching out to their non-English speaking residents, check out how the Hart District is harnessing the power of artificial intelligence, and what Los Angeles County Animal Control does to help our furry friends in need.

Our first look back begins with Episode 25 as we sit down with Captain Brandon Barclay from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station to hear how he’s adjusting to his new role and what plans he has to connect with the community.

Then, on Episode 7 we’re joined by Gabriela Martinez, a Communications Specialist from the City of Santa Clarita who tells us how the city is reaching out to Spanish-speaking residents to more effectively engage with them and relay important information.

Next, Episode 25 has us meet with Hart District’s Jason d’Aurtemont and Casey Cuny to give us all the details on what they’re doing to build the district’s new AI Taskforce and how it’s helping students navigate this new era of technology.

Finally, we go back to Episode 1 and sit down with Marcia Mayeda from L.A. County Animal and Control who shares tips on keeping pets safe during wildfires and what her agency does to assist those in need.
