March is Red Cross Month, a time when The American Red Cross honors the dedicated individuals who answer the call during times of crisis.

Jayson Buckley, executive director for the American Red Cross Northern Valleys Chapter, offers some insight into the ways individuals can give back during the nationwide observance. Volunteering, donating blood, learning a life-saving skill and monetary donations are just some of the ways individuals can make a difference.

The month culminates with American Red Cross’ Giving Day on March 25, which encourages people to donate to support ongoing relief and recovery efforts.
