From scenic hiking trails and interactive exhibits to native wildlife and rich local history, the Placerita Canyon Nature Center is a true local gem the whole family can enjoy. And now, you can experience it for yourself at its annual Open House Saturday, May 9, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Event Coordinator Cindy Gold and Docent Ron Kraus highlight the many activities at the free event including guided hikes, kids gold panning, treasure hunt and native plant sale. You can also explore the many clubs featured at the event, including the Santa Clarita Koi Club.

Parking will be available to the public at the Disney Ranch lot, with complimentary shuttle service provided to and from the park.
