Co-hosts Carrie Lujan and Dave Caldwell kick off the show with highlights from two community events – Taste of the Town, a signature event benefiting the Child & Family Center, and in a galaxy not too far away, Star Wars fans celebrated May the 4th Be With You at Central Park.

Taste of the Town brings together the Santa Clarita Valley’s finest restaurants, caterers, local breweries and winemakers for an afternoon of purposeful giving where proceeds go the Child & Family Center’s mental health, drug and alcohol, and domestic violence services.

The community also came out in full force for the city of Santa Clarita’s May the 4th Be With You celebration at Central Park despite the windy and cold weather. Armed with lightsabers and air mattresses, fans of the iconic film enjoyed a performance by the Saugus High School Band playing the, “Imperial March,” River of Lights illuminated in Star Wars colors and a special screening of Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope.
