Support the SCV Education Foundation’s mission of innovation and excellence in education at two of their upcoming events: Principal for a Day and Touch-A-Truck. Hear more about these two fun and unique fundraising events from SCV Education Foundation’s President Jim Backer and their Executive Director Joe Satorhelyi.

The Principal for a Day fundraiser allows community members to experience a typical morning for a public school principal or administrator, giving them first-hand experience of their work and allowing them to see how local schools foster a positive learning experience for their students.

Principal for a Day will be on Friday, October 20 and will begin with a breakfast reception from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at The Centre. Find out more about this event or secure your spot on the Principal for a Day page on SCV Education Foundation’s website.

Touch-A-Truck is a family-friendly, innovative event that gets attendees up close and personal with fire trucks, police cars, dump trucks, and a wide variety of large and unique vehicles.

Touch-A-Truck will be on Saturday, November 4, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Central Park. Find tickets and more information on the Touch-A-Truck page on the SCV Education Foundation website.

These events all support the SCV Education Foundation’s various programs and initiatives–such as Teacher Innovation Grants, Bag of Books, or Page Turners–that aim to promote “innovation and excellence in education through community engagement and investment opportunities” in all five school districts within the Santa Clarita Valley, as noted on SCVEducationFoundation.org.
