Indian Student Cultural Exchange: Closing Ceremony

The SCV International Program hosted its third group of students from Pinegrove School in northern India from December 2010 to January 2011. Each visit has contributed to a broadened world view on the part of both the students and Santa Clarita host families. Plans are already underway to host the fourth group from Pinegrove School; before that happens, a group from Santa Clarita will complete the exchange by traveling to India.

Letters of invitation were sent to Pinegrove Headmaster Capt. A.J. Singh by the Hart School District, College of the Canyons, SCVIP and the City of Santa Clarita. Closing ceremonies feature remarks from students and their exchange family members as well as Singh; Hart District administrator David LeBarron, chairman of the SCVIP’s Cultural Bridges Committee; and SCVIP founding member Robert H. “Bob” Geiman.
