The egregious accounting practices in the City of Bell that came to light last year resulted in a theft of the public's trust in our local government institutions. As Chair of the Assembly Local Government Committee, Assemblyman Smyth is pursuing a package of bills aimed at achieving greater transparency in our local governments.
