ABOUT THE ARTIST
Ariana Sloan is a talented, 14-year-old "triple threat." She is a professional actress, a recording artist, and a great dancer. Born in Santa Clarita, California, Ariana has been singing, acting, dancing, and performing from the time she learned to walk and talk. Ariana has worked diligently to improve her wide array of talents from gymnastics and ballet to jazz and even hip hop. She is a ProClass Graduate from Gary Spatz's The Playground (Christina Aguilera, Keri Russell) and has participated in numerous improvisation workshops with Joey Paul Jensen and Actors Site Studios. Ariana is currently studying with Diane Christiansen, a highly regarded acting coach in Hollywood, to further cultivate her acting abilities. Her movie credits include "Twisted Path," "The Santa Clause 3," and "Grace," a New York Film Academy student film. From modeling and voiceovers in commercials such as Helzberg Diamonds and Target to supporting roles in television including a Judge Mathis promo, Ariana has undeniable talent.
Working with multi-platinum record writer/producer Bryan Todd (Miley Cyrus, Jordin Sparks, Big Time Rush, Ashley Tisdale, Mitchell Musso, Josh Kelley) and writer/producer Gerry Stober (Aaron Neville, Dove Award recipients Nicole C. Mullen and Rachael Lampa, No Mercy, The Jets, Jennifer Love Hewitt, June Pointer, The Commodores, Tyler Collins, Expose, Jeffrey Osborne, Micky Dolenz, Stephanie Mills), Ariana recently completed a new EP entitled "Day One." "Day One" encompasses a mature and contemporary pop sound suitable for a broad audience.
ABOUT THE HOST
"House Blend" host, writer and co-producer Stephen K. Peeples is a
Grammy-nominated record producer ("Monterey International Pop Festival,"
1992), award-winning radio writer-producer ("The Lost Lennon Tapes,"
1988-1990) and veteran record company executive (Capitol, Elektra/Asylum,
Rhino). A Canyon Country resident since early 1988, Peeples wrote about the
SCV music scene for The Signal newspaper in 2004-2006 and was Managing
Editor of the My Santa Clarita community website in 2006-2007. He was The
Signal's Online Editor and social media manager from October 2007 to May
2011. In 2009 he was honored when The-Signal.com was named "Best Website"
by the California Newspaper Publishers Association. A jazz and rock drummer
since he was 12, Peeples was a member of the underground West L.A. garage
band Peaking Duck from 1977-2008. In 2010, he co-founded the SCV-based jazz
quartet RainTree.
