The Supreme Court issued two landmark rulings Wednesday morning, which pleased gay marriage advocates and left Proposition 8 supporters upset; The Santa Clarita City Council voted 4 to 1 to give themselves a six percent raise by July first of next year at their meeting Tuesday.

Also:
The Castaic Lake Water Agency has been recognized for financial transparency and excellent Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports; A bill passed by the state Senate on Tuesday would eliminate Enterprise Zone benefits across the state starting in 2014, allowing for a 10 year carry over for tax credits; local weather.

Finally:
The annual Santa Clarita Fourth of July parade, will feature lavish floats, music, military presentations and much more. The beloved tradition starts at 9am in Old Town Newhall on Thursday, July 4.
