In a unanimous vote the Santa Clarita Planning Commission denied Einstein Academy permission to open a school in Valencia.

In an attempt to keep Agua Dulce rural and equestrian-friendly, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors approved an ordinance that updates and expands the area’s Community Standards District.

Sixth graders at Sulphur Springs community school learned about the health risks of smoking from high school DFYIT students who visited the campus on Thursday.

Reminder: Daylight savings time begins at 2 am on March 9.

Friday night at Valencia Wine Company on Town Center Drive, rock singer Helen LaPrairie and her Helen Wheels band play their “’When Will I be Loved’ Rock ‘n’ Roll Show.”

Also on Friday night, SCVTV “House Blend” alum T.J. Sullivan and his guitar partner Damon Van Buren lay down the blues at the Rock Inn in Lake Hughes.
