Santa Clarita voters made history Tuesday: It’s the first time two members of the same party are lined up to vie for the 25th Congressional District seat in a general election. On the day trial was set to begin over a lawsuit alleging College of the Canyons governing board had elections violating the California Voting Rights Act, lawyers announced a settlement conference. There is still a chance the California High Speed Rail will pass through the Santa Clarita Valley, but there won’t be a Santa Clarita Station for the Palmdale to Los Angeles stretch of track. The Santa Clarita Fourth of July Parade is almost here, so what do you need to do to get in on the action? Television viewers can catch the SCV NewsBreak on SCVTV at the top of every hour from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., repeating the following morning at 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. SCVTV runs on Time Warner Cable Channel 20 and AT&T U-Verse Channel 99, and streaming on SCVTV.com. |
What about Howard Berman and Brad Sherman in 2012?
Not true! Berman and Sherman for Congress in 2012.
Since voter turn out is usually incredibly low, I wonder how many actual votes this represents.
i think the news said like 13%… compared to like 20% in the 2010 off-year election
