California High-Speed Rail Authority officials want to hear your thoughts about a new proposed rail alignment. The Los Angeles County coroner’s office is seeking the family of a man identified only as John Doe No. 59, although authorities believe they know who he is. The Crime Prevention Unit of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station is welcoming a new face. Deputy Regina Yost, who’s been the zone leader for Valencia for the last four years, is being promoted to detective. Santa Clarita residents will have the opportunity to attend an evening with the author of “The Ghost Bride”.
