Friends and family received an outpouring of community support this weekend after a Golden Valley High School student was tragically killed Friday morning in Canyon Country. Veterans Day is Tuesday and Santa Clarita is hosting several events to honor the men and women who have served in our country’s military. California Department of Water Resources officials recently announced the award of $27 million dollars in voter approved Prop 84 money to be distributed among 14 drought relief projects in our county . With the election of state Senator Steve Knight to congress, speculation has already started over who will be his replacement in Sacramento. Kids are invited to let their imaginations run wild at the SCV Education Foundation’s 8th annual Literacy and Arts Festival.
