Congress voted Thursday to pass the National Defense Authorization Act without a Cemex bill, despite efforts by Santa Clarita’s Mayor and future Congressman.

Michele Jenkins was named Wednesday to a second consecutive term as president of College of the Canyons Board of Trustees.

Cesar Millan, the Dog Whisperer says he is alive and well, thank you very much.

Santa Clarita Valley community members, business leaders and parents are invited to learn what it’s like to be a public educator.

College of the Canyons Studio Jazz Ensemble and the Lab Band will get you in the holiday mood Friday night at the Performing Arts Center.

Saturday night, COCā€™s Symphony of the Canyons, along with the Santa Clarita Youth Orchestra Foundationā€™s Orchestra and Prelude Strings, take the big stage at the PAC.

Saturday night on SCVTVā€™s ā€œHouse Blend,ā€ singer-songwriter-producer Gary McGrath and guitar partner Shawn Iaeger perform an acoustic set.

Television viewers can catch the SCV NewsBreak on SCVTV at the top of every hour from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., repeating the following morning at 6 a.m. and 8 a.m.

    Frank why should you feel betrayed? Cemex donated to McKeons campaign you honestly thought he would do something for the community on his way out? The day after the election he put his house up for sale, he is out. So disappointing but not surprising. Money talks and the BS’er moves out of the community
