A Santa Clarita man was one of five people killed in a mid-air plane crash in San Diego County Sunday morning.

Three Santa Clarita residents who were arrested for taking part in a fake police organization known as the Masonic Fraternal Police Department, pleaded not guilty in court Tuesday.

Firefighters battling the warm fire in Castaic reported the fire remained at 300 acres and is 100 percent contained according to Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s station officials.

The first meeting about the anticipated Laemmle Theatre coming to Old Town Newhall was held Wednesday morning.
