After meeting for a vote Tuesday night, Santa Clarita city council members decided not to increase their monthly compensation. After being closed for several months, the Orchard Village Road entrance to Henry Mayo Newhall hospital is now open. College of the Canyons faculty members are celebrating Halloween early this year with a staff pie eating contest. Officials are warning parents and kids to stay alert on Halloween night.
