A motorist that was trapped inside a vehicle was rescued on Tuesday, after plunging down a 25 foot embankment.

Voters are continuing to file through polling places here in the Santa Clarita Valley for the William S. Hart School District election, and the Newhall County Water District election.

Governor Jerry Brown has declared a state of emergency to address the millions of dead trees in the state of California, including many here in Santa Clarita.
