College of the Canyons was put on lockdown after two students were seen wearing what looked like bullet proof vests.

A man was taken to the hospital in critical condition early Thursday after crashing into a block wall near Soledad Canyon Road.

The College of the Canyons new culinary arts building is being put to good use now that it is up and running.

In other school news,  The William S. Hart Union School District opened the doors to the new Canyon High School Performing Arts Center Thursday night.
