The Santa Clarita City Council approved a deal Tuesday night that will put a brand new Sheriff’s Station in Santa Clarita. Dozens of concerned residents met with deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station and officers from Newhall CHP Wednesday morning to talk about community issues. A recent study funded by the US Department of Agriculture and AIA revealed that the nations beekeepers lost 44 percent of their colonies over the past year. Local beekeepers have been going the distance to keep their hives alive, but still need a little help. Fire up your hog and be ready to take the scenic route this Saturday for the 2nd Annual Firefighter Memorial Ride. Plus, this week’s weather.
