TECHNOLOGY WORKSHOP! – Attention all students. On Tuesday, January 17th, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., the Family Resource Program and our Parent Advisory Program will be hosting a workshop on Technology. You and your families will receive information about student safety online, social media trends, how to find useful reliable resources online and more. Principal Hoffman will also share the latest Sierra Vista news. Please RSVP by this Friday if you plan to attend. AMAZING STAFF – ASB recognizes that Sierra Vista has some amazing staff members that make our school great! This month, ASB would like to recognize our beloved Laura Schmidt for all she does for the students at Sierra Vista. Thanks for all you do, Laura!
HONOR SOCIETY – Honor Society Applications are now available!!! If you are interested in applying for Spring Honor Society, then make sure you pick up a packet from Mrs. Fulleman in the Library before you head off for Winter Break. All Applications are due Friday February 3rd, 2017 by 2:30 pm (NO EXCEPTIONS)!!!
STEAM EXPO – Attention all Plainsmen: the second STEAM Expo for Santa Clarita youth is being held on Saturday, January 28, at the College of the Canyon’s University Center in Valencia, and it is bigger than ever! This free event, targeted at young people ages 5 and 19 and their parents, will feature workshops on website design, mobile app coding, robots, science, video game animation, graphics design, and STEAM careers.
