Firefighters responded to a brush fire off of the 5 freeway and the Old Road Tuesday morning in Newhall. The Board of Supervisors certified the environmental impact reports for Mission Village and Landmark Village, which are part of the Newhall Ranch Specific Plan. CHP officers ended a pursuit in Castaic without incident after a driver failed to pull over when officers attempted a traffic stop Monday night.
